Summer is officially here, bringing fresh produce and sunny days among local stalls. Discover a few of the top farmers markets in our beautiful state.
Colorado Farm & Art Market
If you’re looking for a place in Colorado Springs to wander colorful booths full of art and handmade products as well as locally-grown produce, this is the market for you! The Colorado Farm and Art Market features 100% organic and Colorado grown or made goods. Visit the outdoor market on Wednesday evenings at the Colorado Pioneer Museum or on Saturday mornings at The Margarita at Pine Creek.
Olde Town Arvada Farmers Market
Arvada is seeing incredible growth, and as one of its newest residents, I have to say I can see why! The charming Olde Town area puts on fun events for the whole family all year, and the farmers market is one of the best. Head to the square for fresh eggs, local produce by the bag, delicious coffee, fermented foods, baked goods and much more.
There are even more vendors this year than last, and some of them sell ready-to-eat treats like waffles and breakfast burritos. This one is perfect for the whole family — dogs included! There’s even a water feature that kids love to run through on a hot day, and the live musicians keep the fun rolling all morning. Visit on Sundays from 9am to 1:30pm.
Golden Farmers Market
Whether you’re local to the area or craving a day in the picturesque town of Golden, the Saturday farmers market there makes for the perfect start to a summer weekend. Master gardeners offer presentations to help you grow your own produce or flowers, and the bounty of food, decor and supplies available is impressive. Located near plenty of walking trails and picnic benches, this market makes for a great family outing with lovely mountain views. Visit on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm.
Cherry Creek Fresh Market
As Denver’s largest farmers market, the Cherry Creek Fresh Market draws a remarkable crowd on sunny weekends. The unbeatable variety of products makes this the perfect place to stock up on local produce, honey, meat, and jams. On top of the expected farmers market finds, this market also features vegan and gluten free products as well as gourmet mushrooms and micro greens.
Grab a bite at the street food stalls or sip on a smoothie or espresso beverage while you check out the food, handcrafted goods, and fashion offerings at this lively market. Stop by on Saturdays between 9am and 2pm.
Boulder Farmers Market
Located on 13th and Canyon, the Boulder Farmers Market has been operating since 1987. This market is completely stocked by Colorado producers, and shoppers can find everything from meats and veggies to flowers and baked goods.
The live music sets the scene for an upbeat experience whether you visit on a Wednesday evening or a Saturday morning. Come hungry, because the food stalls at this market are among the very best. Check out Savory Saigon for incredible crepes, or grab tacos, dumplings, or even beer from local vendors. Grab a table or lounge in the grass nearby to enjoy summertime in one of Colorado’s most beautiful towns!
